MORE THAN 200 BANDS APPLIED FOR THE SHOWCASE PROGRAM OF THE 10th KONTAKT CONFERENCE
This spring, Belgrade once again becomes one of the key hubs of a vibrant new European music scene. The new edition of the Kontakt Conference, showcase and festival will take place from April 16 to 18, 2026, across multiple venues in the city.
In addition to offering music industry professionals a chance to gather ahead of the festival season, reconnect, and strengthen their professional networks, this year Kontakt also brings a special opportunity to discover more than 30 authentic and promising artists. The bands and performers selected for the showcase program come from various countries, standing out among more than 200 applicants who responded to the “Apply to Play” open call. At the 10th anniversary edition of the KONTAKT Conference, showcase and festival—now proudly part of the European Talent Exchange network—the showcase program will take center stage.
For Serbia, which—unlike most European countries—still does not have an established music export office, the partnership between the European Talent Exchange project and Kontakt represents a significant step forward. KONTAKT becomes a key bridge connecting local and regional artists with the European market, festivals, and audiences. For that reason, the invitation to discover artists within the showcase program carries special importance this year.
Over the past ten years of continuous development, Belgrade’s KONTAKT has established itself as a key meeting point for the music industry and the contemporary regional author scene. By joining the European Talent Exchange program, its reach now extends beyond local frameworks, becoming an active part of the European infrastructure dedicated to supporting emerging talent. In this context, this year’s юбilee edition marks a strategic leap forward, confirming that the Serbian, regional, and European scenes are equally shaping the currents of contemporary music.
The 10th KONTAKT reflects the present moment while actively shaping it—opening space for a new generation of artists who are defining the future of the European music scene right now.
