Luka Novaković is the owner of Discom, a respected independent label dedicated to promoting and releasing lesser-known music from the former Yugoslavia. The label’s releases have been featured in the sets and charts of leading international DJs and producers (DJ Harvey, Psychemagic, Tako Reyenga, Alexis Le Tan, among others) and have received accolades such as Release of the Month or Release of the Year from major UK vinyl retailers (Juno Records, Phonica Records, etc.). Discom’s work has also been covered by The Guardian. In addition to running Discom, Luka is involved in maintaining and promoting the extensive archive of the Miša Blam Jazz Museum, as well as organizing Yugo-themed parties under the name Soul Funk Reprezentacija Jugoslavije (SFRJ) Party(janje).
