Nebojša Mandić (HSF – Herceg Novi Comic Festival) is a journalist and organizer of the Herceg Novi Comic Festival. He was born in the summer when Apollo 11 landed on the Moon, when Max and Magnus created the TNT Group and Alan Ford, and when half a million people at Woodstock sang and shouted against the Vietnam War and everything such politics represents.

He grew up listening to sea waves, Oliver Dragojević, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, and Depeche Mode, while reading Corto Maltese and Umberto Eco – all in what he considers the most beautiful bay in the world, shaped by Illyrians, Romans, Slavs, Venetians, French, Spanish, Ottomans, Austro-Hungarians, Italians, and Germans, all of whom left traces of their cultural and genetic heritage.

He became a dreamer, a pacifist, a traveler – belonging both to himself and to others, devoted to the culture of living. He enrolled in four different faculties but graduated in art history. Through decades of work in journalism, civic activism, peaceful protests, and organizing events dedicated to alternative artistic expression (such as the MORŽ festival, Sea Rhythm of Life, and the internationally renowned HSF), he has grown into an advocate against petty-minded, mental, and physical violations of the freedom of thought, speech, action, and life.

He has not written a book nor acted in a film, but has read and watched many. He currently produces and hosts the TV show “Bokeški đir” for TV Budva. He is also a co-owner of the website www.hercegnovi.cool.

He is not married and has no children. He has an ex-girlfriend. He lives in Herceg Novi, where he hikes, dives, sails, eats, and drinks.
